Shouting

Shouting and yelling is his latest skills now. Whenever he wants something or dislike something he will yell arggghhhhhhhhh aaaah!Even when he plays alone he will yell for nothing. Was wondering whether this is his new skill toward talking ability. Cant wait to hear he call me Ummi. Yeah, soon, the time will come. But sometimes when he cried he called ammaa and looked at me with soggy eyes 'begging' me to carry him or sooth him. At 9 months old he doesnt have any tooth yet and cant walk or stand properly though he seems so eager to stand on his feet.

Climbing,Unpacking etc

He is very very active though. Cant even stay still one second. everything catches his attention. He likes to climb, unpack and doing all mess. All drawers are now wide opened with things came out from it storage, all due to his activity. Open shelves are not safe anymore. Its his attraction spot. Like it or not you hav eto make sure to keep him away from all those spots and that will keep you sweating, chasing him around. Though not able to walk yet but he is very fast in crawling, sometimes he looks like popeye's baby in the cartoon slot.

PapaPa Paaapa

He started to talk I guess. His favourite words is Papaapa Papa...sounds like Papa but it doesnt pointed to that meaning.Sometimes yes but eventually it end up to everything is papaapaa papa. I really hope and wish he could call my name...Ummmiii. Everyday will teach him to make that sound. He seems like following but still couldnt make any similar sound except paapaapa...papa.
Whenever he's playing eating or any kind of activity that was what he will said.

BeNut

Last Saturday, Ikram and I and Tokwan went to BeNut. Its Pak Teh's nephew wedding reception. We went early because Tok Wan wanted to stay overnite and we brought Ikram along. Ab was a bit worried that Ikram might not be at his comfort at the new place especially it's a village house. I told him we have to expose Ikram to that kind of environment. So we went. Over there, the household was so busy with 'bunga telur' and othe chores. As for us, we came just as guests of honour. By right, we should be a helping hands to the grooms family, but with Ikram, my hands are all tight, Tokwan, with her conditions, she cant do much so left Faezah and Kak Midah. They tried to help as much as they could and I just minggled around with Ikram outside the house, inside was so stuffy and humid.

Kak Imah, Pak Teh's sister and the groom's mother was so busy running here and there and yet still manage to make sure we were well served and stomach full. We were 'nestled' at the empty house which Pak Teh used as his week end house or stop over whenever he back to BeNut. Me and Ikram laid back at the house. When time comes for dinner, Ikram was sound asleep though with loud noise as normal wedding places used to be, he still sound asleep. We had dinner which I enjoyed most. They had plenty of dishes but what attracts me most was the salted fish. So extraordinary to have salted fish during wedding, but I like it very much as I dont like wedding food such as sweet and sour chicken, curry , briani etc. The wedding food normally will be served on the day of the event and the eve of the wedding we normally had normal food or kampung food. I love kampung food more than the wedding food.
Ikram slept all nite peacefully although sometimes the sounds and noises outside the houses catches his eyes, but with us around and put him back to sleep he managed to sleep through all nite but not for me. It was so noisy, it seems that the people werent sleeping, they were playing cards etc and how could I sleep. Tokwan was sound asleep as well.

The big Day came and we were just waiting for the couple to arrived from K.L.They were wedded couple of weeks before and this was just 'menyambut menantu' and yet it was still grand with arrangement. We had early lunch while waiting for the couple to arrived.

The bride and groom arrived and was greeted by group of silat boys and girls. It was so hot and there were seated under the bright sunshine with a little umbrella.

This was 3rd or 4th wedding Ikram had attended and all were so exciting and he was so fascinated. Never once he cried like other kids when surrounded by crowds. However, on the way back home which took about 1-11/2 hours, he make so much fussed and cried all way long. It was very difficult for me to drive. Faezah (pak Teh's daughter) was with us and tried to comfort him together with Tokwan but failed. Poor Ikram he cried his lung out and I pity him but I have to drive anyway. His eyes was soggy and about 15 minutes before we reached home I put him on my lap and drove back home.

The Week-End

Oh Dear! Why cant I chew it?
Yum yum yum
Emm Yummy
Can this be eaten?
Trying to Stand up without any Support
With the giggling toy
With animal-like pink balloon
Trying hard to stand on his feet
Oppsss Flashes lights too Bright
Sooo Thirsty
In the Stroller
Catch Me If I Fall
When Can I Walk and Stand tall?
Let See What Will Happen if I let go off my hands

Last Saturday we went to the mall. Ikram sat in his stroller. He seems so facinated with the view, looks like someone whom never been out for ages. He looked around him with so much amusement. Everything to him so amazing and so new. He had one kind of expression. Tried to adjust the seat of the stroller to a lay back position but he make a fuss to show that he doesnt likes it, so I adjusted it back to a sitting position. As usual he attracted so many attention. He is so adorable. We then, went to Toy R Us and bought another few of new toys. A giggling toy. You shake it it will giggle and make a sound.

On Sunday with Tok Wan, her sister, Tok Na, we went to a distance relative's house at the Felda area. Its fruits season and we were so lucky but not Ikram as he cant eat fruits yet. Its king of fruit and queen of fruits season as well as rambutan. We bought home a few of the durian, gave by the relative. It was a good visit though. I always like to visit kampung people as they are always rich with courtesies and warmness. Not only we were warmly welcomed but they were always expect us to come back whenever we are free. With stomach full of lunch and fritters and our car boot full with durian and the smell ohh don't mention, we drove back home with laziness. Luckily the journey to home not that far otherwise I wont let anyone bring in any smelly fruits.

Forgot to mention about the measles which I thought Ikram were having. Luckily, before we went to the Felda, I brought Ikram to see the Dr. He had a bit of flu and cough as well. The Q didnt take that long as we had make an appointment earlier. We had actually went to the clinic last Saturday but the Q was too long and we dont have time to wait and the good part was that the clinic assistant advised us to make an appointment the following day which we did and it turned out great. Good news was that, it was not measles but normal rashes. But the rashes doesnt effect him much though he had slight fever. As for the flu and cough, Dr had given the medicine and I gave him once and the sign shown very positive. No more coughing and running nose. I dont really like to give him much of medicine, since the sign shows positive, Ive stop him from taking the 2nd dose.

Yesterday was a public holoday for J city, and we went to Nek Na daughters house. She invited us to have lunch at hers. So went were Ikram and myself, Ab, Tok Wan, Kak Sam and Pak Bakar (Nek Na's husband). Few hours later followed by Kak Midah and Hubby and Uda. We had a great lunch. I ate a lot and Ikram was at hi sbest manners. He infact slept almost whole day, guess to tired. At home he was so active playing with balloons which we bought earlier. He was so attracted and fascinated with the baloons. He even showed his skills of climbing and at dusk he slept peacefully till 1.00am.
At 1.00am I suddenly heard something and opened my eyes only to see him busy playing and climbing the bed head (iron). Tried to put him back to sleep to no avail but he didnt cry. Guess almost at 2am he went back to sleep and woke up again for another round of milk at almost 5am.

Over the whole week end, Tok Wan was so impressed with Ikram's progress. He showed sign of climbing chairs. He even managed to pulled his leg up to his knee lenght to climb a chair. What an active boy!!.He even managed to pulled a chair and he was lucky the chair didnt hit his head when it fell. The best part was, he thought he could stand without support, whenever he tried to stand up or climb on any standing object, he will try to let go off his hands , as if he's able to stand on his own without support. At Tok Wan's I just put him in his walker to avoid him from climbing and messing around. It was a busy long week end for us after all.

Baju Melayu

Yassin recitation
Sleepy
Crying-too hot and sleepy
Yesterday was the first time he wore Baju Melayu. It's Firdaus's and he no longer can wear it, so Kak Sam gave it to me for Ikram to wear. It's been quite a while she gave it to us but it does not fit for Ikram yet.Too big.So yesterday at Tok Wan's house I put on him and it fit him perfectly. There were group of Yassin recitation at Tok Wan's.It's male group.Abut 30 of them. Ikram with that pink colur Baju Melayu. As for Firdaus it fit him nicely because he is fair but not Ikram. Anyway it's his first ever wore Baju Melayu.I've bought a piece of green colour fabric a couple of weeks ago for his Baju Melayu for the upcoming Hari Raya (our theme colour for this year Raya). However I will buy him another ready made Baju Melayu when the time comes. It's too early though as he will become bigger and afraid it wont fit him properly. Anyway, will avoid pink or any kind of it.It doesnt suit him at all. He was so sleepy and so hot.The weather was so humid, we were just sat outside while the group performing their recitation and solat Asar. He then slept on my shoulder. Was so sleepy, it's his bed time. Two days ago, I saw his face and around the neck something like rashes/measle.But he does not has any fever sympthom. But his body sometimes a bit warmish. Today it became more apparent, guess he's having measles. Firdaus also has it.Guess Ikram has it from Firdaus because we spent our week end together at Tok Wan's. So it must be it. I know that this disease contagious, I hope its not that serious, anyway we have to be extra careful.

Wednesday

Mak Anjang-Kak Isna's Mom-this is more like it, the story behind the event-by amateur
The neighbour busy helping out at the kitchen few hours before the event took place
The hantaran-close up by Pro

The Cake-hantaran-by pro
This is like for magazine. What can we tell?-by pro
The Hantaran
Jam packed - no air to breath
The nieces and nephew with Ajai
Ikram with Tok Wan-by amateur
Ikram with Mak Ngah- Umi's sister by amateur
Only today we can see the engagement photos.Hmm like 'hampeh'. I like the amateur style.More closer to the event. The 'pro' photos were good for modelling agencies or maybe suitable only for wedding magazine. It doesnt have the 'love' touch in it. It doesnt shows the real or the story behind the event. Like most says, photos tells thousands stories or tells real story but the pro photos was not.It was just a good shot with bright and clear spot but the rest nothing. If we were to take part in the photo taking competetion yes indeed i agreed it was good but what most important here is to tell the story behind the event for those whom unable to attend. No satisfactory seeing in the photos.

Pak Long House

Last friday the 19th, we went to Pak Long house with Tok Wan. They had Yassin group to recite at their house. This is normal for the muslim community especially in the Housing Estate here but it is also depends on the family whether or not they joint the group community. As for Mak, she also has the same activity so as Tok Wan. As for the Rejab is comming, the group will become more active then.

So we went. I was so hungry because we went straight from office after fetching Tok Wan. Thought could have something light first before the invitee but hmmm. However, I managed to gobbled few curry puff and kueh. Ikram was happy when Pak Long carry him around the house. Again due to the season, the weather was not so good. It was so hot and can see Ikram sweating all over.

Pak Long's wife had porridge and roti jala and few kueh plus manggostean for the guest. I gave Ikram a bit of the porridge and he likes it.We went home to Tok Wans a bit late.At 11pm we reached home and we were all tired and rest to sleep.
The next day, I preheated the porridge that Tok Wan brought from Pak Long, gave to Ikram three times as breakfast, lunch and dinner. He ate a lot and poor thing was that he passed motion 3 times that day and I pity him. So on Sunday, I didnt dare to give him anything. just gave him a bit of cereal twice a day as his normal routine, just a bit to avoid him to pass more motion.

The Engagement

Last Saturday 13th June we were so busy with Ajai's engagement. So many people came especially from her fiance's side. We were wondering whether this is a wedding or engagement. Mak said, Alhamdulillah this means rezeki. I said yes it is rezeki for other occasion not for engagement.Normal tradition, during engagement people will not come as many of this, the most from the man side will be 10, the most, but this was crazy. We were infact so hot and mad because her fiance's family came late not half an hour but more than one hour. So bad in time management and the weather was not so good indeeed. It was so hot and humid. Many of Mak's friends came just because of Mak and they need to left early due to other wedding invitation but they were stuck here at our house. i think its the family's habit not to punctual.I hate this kind of people.During the 'merisik' they also came late. Our house was so cramped and there were not even a place for my feet to stand. Just imagine about 50 of them and few from our side..meaning more than 50s were in the house.Too bad the family all together insisted to squeezed in and listen and be the eye witnessed of the event. As for us, we have no time for that, Ikram was so uneasy, was so hot and its time to milk. Tried to on 3 fans at the kitchen. The kitchen was so full with her fiance's family, not to mention in the living room as our house is not a bungalow. But the room was still hot and humid. In the living room was not so bad because we have ceiling fan plus one big 'industry like' fan were on 24 hours.

I dont know what will happen when the wedding time comes .I guess they will bring the whole of the family tree. i hope next time they know how to read the time and manage their time or before that I think I should remind them about this as I am sick of people who cant be punctual.

We were wearing blue including Ikram. I set the theme to be blue but Ajai and his fiance were in pink..goshh pink for girls ok but not man..ohh pleaseeee... so girly.

This article were writen late due to the photos. As we, I mean me and my other sibling were very busy with our duty as host to ensure all food and drinks were replenished, we have not time for photo taking. So we merely based on their side. 3 photographers, like pro photograpers were incharged for the event but until today not a single piece of photo can be seen. Looking at them taking the photo make me sick. Ajai's said one of it was the bro in-law who is a professional photographer. But sorry to say, the act was like an i_d__t.

To Airport Again

On the way to airport
Today Ab will be flying back to KL to sign on. So with all the children, we sent him off and drove back to Mak house. Ab looks so sad to leave Ikram and kissed him thoroughly. I know he will miss Ikram dearly. Ikram was so good compared to last time, I guess last time due to his sleepiness . Just about 5 minutes drove back home, saw the children are all fallen asleep including Ikram. Makes me driving in silentness and trying hard to hold myself from going to pee. Urghh I cant stop anywhere to ease myself. Felt my stomach bloated. The moment I reached to Mak house, I parked the car with the engine still on and I rushed inside to do my business and later came back to see the children. Saw Yaya's holding Ikram. Yes as usual this boy knows when to wake up. The moment the car stop moving he will immediately wake up and started to climb out from the car seat but luckily he was buckled up.

The cousins were still confused and unsure to stay back at Nenek house or follow me back to my house. I know that they wanted to stay longer at mine but their Mom keep calling almost all the time wondering what they were doing by themselves at mine when Im off to work. Scared that their children especially the son playing with fire or fighting with each other etc. The brother and younger sister will follow the sister's decision i.e Yaya. So to makes things easier I sent them off to Mak and Ikram and I went back to our home alone and felt the lonliness once we reached home.Ikram as usual, the moment we reached home he makes such fuss, guess he doesnt like being alone as well.

Airport and the cousins

My Beloved Childrens
Yaya, Nija & Nadia with Ikram
Yesterday we went to the Airport to send AB's off to KL for a short course. When driving back, Ikram cried so loud. i dont know why off late he loves to cry. So manja. Mak said its normal when baby just recovered from any sickness or fever. Can't really concentrate on driving. Yaya tried to comfort and calm him down but failed. I noticed he is so attached to me recently. Even with Ab around, he seems cant see me.Whenever he sees me, he will wants me and offer his hands for me to carry him. Mak said 'sawan kepit' hahah. Hope not. So after struggling and yelling I have to pulled a stop. Carried him and put him on my lap and slowly drive. It was a crazy idea indeed a dangerous one but I have no other choice. Strapped him around me facing my chest with my seats belt and dove slowly home. Luckily almost home. Then we stoped at one of the restaurant to take away for dinner. While waiting for the order, I put Ikram to sleep. He looks so sleepy that's why he fussed around. He slept soundly and I handed him over to Nija and Ikram slept on his lap and I drove slowly to Mak house instead of home to take the childrens clothes and what not. Its school break, all children are gathered at my house playing with Ikram.

KL and 2nd Wedding

New Hat-2nd hat
New shoes-2nd shoes
Drinking bottle/cup
In the Masjid
Busy crawling in the Masjid while waiting for the Nikah to take place
Breakfast at Mamak Restaurant near the Masjid before the Nikah Comfortably sitting like a big boy
Dinner at Ketam Village Steamboat.
Sound asleep at KL home when we just arrived last Thursday
Here we were in KL for 2 days. At our KL home Ikram was so good, no more crying like he used when we were at our SI home when only both of us there, he used to cry alot, but here, I guess due to smaller house he felt so at ease like back to his home. So I guess he consider KL house is our home. Maybe. In KL, I took this opportunity to shop till I drop. Fuhh...what a great day. After 2 months away here I am back to my 'playground', the shopping heaven, The Curve and Ikea, havent much time to go to One U. I missed those places. So all Ikram's preparation for Raya are settled hahaha.

On Saturday we went to another wedding. Ikram's 2nd wedding invitation. I dont want to talk about this wedding as it was the worst ever. The visit to KL was due to this wedding and Tok Wan and Nek Na came along. They were the one who actually wanted, or perhaps insisted to attend the wedding as it was their nephew's wedding. We were just the companion.

All in all, Ikram was a good boy though we were under the bright sunshine and hot weather during the wedding. As for me, I enjoyed the shopping heavenly. The wedding?Urgghhhhh.
