The Wedding

We went to the Nikah on Friday. The next day is the Wedding day. After Zuhor the groom entourage headed to the bride's house for the wedding reception. There were 7 cars escorted the bride's car. The groom's family was not really took care of the tiny minny things to complement the 'adat'. To sum up, the parents doesnt bothered about any of those thing. Mom and Tok had lectured the parents before, to make sure that we, at least follow traditions or the adat because they are known as 'cincai' people. The groom's car was too plain. Car was not decorated at all not even a tiny flower at the door etc. Ive told the parent to come early, because Mom's house will be the stop over for the wedding ceremony, so that I could check what else need to be taken care or should there need to add on anything there will still time to catch up. But as usual, with their stupid plan, they reached Mom's house almost 7pm and the Nikah will be after sholat, just imagine. Well, i couldnt care less. Not my wedding after all. Before the nikah last Friday, Mom asked me to checked on the groom, I simply ignored becuse too me it's too late to do anything. Go ahead with what you are wearing!! They were amongt those annoying people because the most stubborn and egoist in the family.

At the bride's place, we were greeted by group of kompang boy. Ikram was so stuned and his faced were so confused with the loud kompang but he didnt even cry. I guess he was wondering what was the loud noise. During the 'sanding' on the small dais, Ikram was seen been handed over from one hands to another of the relatives. He was so adorable and didnt even cry for me. I enjoyed myself with the rest of the cousins posing with the newly wedded couple. The event was simple but well organised. The bride family was so friendly. Before we went home, Tok, once again advise the parent to take everything with care especially for the upcoming reception at their house. To take matters seriously as this will not be a small matter especially after what we had from the brides family. Mom also advise the parent again,dont know for how many time. So off they went headed to kampung which took about 4-5 hours to reach.
