Ikram's 1st Day of School

11 January 2015, Ikram's went to the real school. It was supposed to be on the 3rd January, but due to the massive flood disaster which hit a few states especially Kelantan, the beginning of 2015 school was re-sheduled and postponed.

Alhamdulillah all went well.No sign of crying and he was left with his new found friends in the school assembly room the moment The Principal took the microphone and urge parents to leave the assembly area.

During recess I came again to check on him and saw he was eating the toast I made for him earlier then left him to be with his friends before the recess over.

Ikram started to cry at the mention of going to school. No..actually at wearing the school uniform. He doesn't want to go to school and insisted to go to his "Mama" house (his baby sitter aka nanny). For the last few weeks of school breaks, every day he would ask whether that day is schooling or is it school breaks. So today, he started to cry but then when we reached school, and been greeted by the teachers, he seems fine and went straight to the assembly with the teacher.

Today is Ikram's 1st day of pre-school..the real one hehehe..well it's actually more to play school rather than pre-school.

And today also he was a bit lazy to wake up (guess its too early in the morning, before 7.30am) and doesnt want to take his bath on which he loves so dearly during normal day. Looking at him in his uniform makes me wanted to laugh. He is just 2 years and 2 months and now he is in school. Staying at nanny's house makes him learnt a lot of negative vocabs. He is such a good immitator and follower so we need to be extra careful with that. This play school merely to mix him around with other races and having proper education and good command in English (hope so).

Today is his 1st day attending his pre-school for a 3 days trial period. Alhamdulillah all went well. Showed him the playground of the school and he immediately followed the teacher without screaming or making any fuss. Just a confused face and he went in with the teacher. After 2 hours we went back to the school to pick him up and he seems enjoying himself. What a relieved!! Teachers said he cried only for a few minutes after Umi's left him and later played with another kid in the school. Hestarted to cry again when he saw Umi came to fetch him. Will send him again tomorrow to get himself familiarised with the environment before we enrol him.
